SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A part of Downtown Sioux Falls could start looking very different soon.
Pieces of the Arc Of Dreams will leave Rapid for Sioux Falls Friday morning. They’re scheduled to make a stop at Dale Lamphere’s Dignity sculpture around 10 a.m. CDT.
Then Saturday, the pieces will get a police escort as they make their way to Raven in Sioux Falls. Eventually, the pieces will be put together over the Big Sioux River in Downtown Sioux Falls.
The Arc Of Dreams has been in the works for six years.
The Arc will be installed a half at a time, each half weighing 30-tons, spanning the river, with an 18-foot gap at its peak.
