Lead-Deadwood Regional Health Starting New Community Paramedicine Program

The Regional Health Lead-Deadwood hospital is trying out a new program that lets patients stay at home while still receiving care.

Through the Lead-Deadwood Community Paramedicine Program, a paramedic will visit a patient at their home to take vital signs, go through medications and other services.

For now this is just a pilot program.

The goal is to eventually offer paramedicine services in rural hospitals throughout South Dakota
