Lawsuit Against Fruit Club Dismissed

KELO Fruit Club Market

We have an update on a story we told you about Monday.  One of two federal lawsuits against The Fruit Club is dismissed.

A Florida pineapple producer claimed the Sioux Falls company owed $13,000. Documents filed Tuesday say the case was voluntarily dismissed.

The second case involves a Michigan blueberry farm and a $67,000 bill. An attorney for the fruit club says that case is still being disputed.

In both cases, the attorney said the produce did not meet the fruit club’s standards and the cases only represent a small amount of their company. The Fruit Club expects to sell $10 million in produce to customers in 11 states this year.
