Kickboxing Offers Heart-Racing Workout

We are kicking off Friday with a heart-racing workout.

Avera McKennan Fitness Center instructor Karri Sterns teaches kickboxing.  

“We do not use the gloves or a bag in this class. It’s all cardio. So we do the punching and the kicking and we set it to high energy music to get your heart rate up,” Sterns said.  “I teach it to all levels so you have your people in here who just go crazy nuts and your people who are just learning and that’s fine. We teach to all levels.”

There’s another benefit beyond getting in a workout.  

“It’s just a great class to relive a lot of stress,” Sterns said.
