KELOLAND On The Go Friday, May 3

Happy Friday! This is KELOLAND On The Go, where we provide you with what you need to know in news and weather as you start your day.

Showers and a few thunderstorms are possible Friday in eastern KELOLAND. Saturday still looks very nice, near 70 or above in much of southern KELOLAND.

A story we’ll be following in our Capitol New Bureau Friday, the Oglala Sioux Tribal Council unanimously voted to ban Governor Kristi Noem from entering the Pine Ridge Reservation. KELOLAND’s Bob Mercer is working to talk with Governor Noem for her reaction. Watch for updates online and in the KELOLAND News app.

A South Dakota family now has some answers after their niece was raped and murdered 25 years ago at her Vancouver, Washington apartment. Police believe they have captured Audrey Hoellein’s killer.

Crews are working on a new viewing platform in lower Falls Park. The platform below the Falls Overlook Cafe has an extra railing to keep visitors away from the water’s edge.

And in case you missed it — a family of ducks are back together following a unique water rescue at Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls. Our camera crew was there and captured it all.
