KELOLAND Media Group Ready For Founder’s Day Of Caring

News

KELOLAND Media Group employees are volunteering with five local organizations this Friday for our annual Founder’s Day of Caring.

Last year on Founder’s Day, we teamed up with Lunch Is Served, The Banquet, Habitat for Humanity and The Boys and Girls Club of the Sioux Empire. Fifty-four people served for a total of 133 hours. This Friday, we will be pitching in at The Banquet again and serving lunch at the St. Francis House. Executive Director Julie Becker says it’s a good option for people looking to give back to their community.

“So that people who are busy at night with school activities or board meetings, whatever it may be, could come during their work day, during their lunch. Come in, serve the meal and then be at work knowing that they’re making a difference in the lives of others,” Becker said.

This Friday, we’ll also be working with Call To Freedom, Dakotabilities and the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House.
