Keeping Pets Warm In Winter

The cold weather can also be dangerous for you and your pets.

Dogs and cats are also at risk for frost bite and hypothermia. The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society says it’s important to make sure they are brought in from the cold.

It’s also critical to make sure their water doesn’t freeze in sub-zero temperatures and be sure to put a little extra food in their bowl.

Finally, make sure your companion animal has a warm place to sleep, off the floor and away from all drafts.
