Judge Denies Motion For Ronald Johnson’s Uniform

The wife of a correctional officer killed by inmates has been denied a motion to have her husband’s uniform back.

Lynette Johnson made an emotional plea to a judge in a Minnehaha County Courtroom Wednesday morning.

The judge denied the motion saying the evidence cannot be turned over because the case involving Rodney Berget is not complete.

Berget is one of three inmates involved in the murder of Correctional Officer Ronald ‘R.J.’ Johnson in 2011.

Eric Robert has already been executed for his role in the crime.

A judge has ruled Berget is also eligible to face the death penalty.
