Investigation After Body Found In Northwest Iowa


A body has been found in the Floyd River near Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa.

School officials say the body of a man in his 30s or 40s was discovered around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.   A Sheldon Police Officer responded to the scene in the southeastern portion of the school property.  A news release says it appears the body had been underwater. 

An autopsy will be done at the Iowa State Crime laboratory in Ankeny, Iowa.
