Stacy Phelps’ trial is underway Tuesday in Minnehaha County.
The defense will begin calling witnesses this week and Phelps is expected to testify in his own defense. This is the latest Gear Up Trial.
The trial comes more than three years after Mid Central’s chief financial officer, Scott Westerhuis, shot his wife and family and then killed himself in September 2015.
