The ice castles in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin had their grand opening.
But it’s just as much as playground as it is a castle. And it’s for kids and kids at heart.
Construction for the ice castle started around Thanksgiving. The whole castle is made from 25,000 pounds of ice. All grown from an icicle farm.
The site manager says that they grow 5,000 icicles a night and the icicles were placed one by one to build the castle.
