The Jackson Boulevard Historic District in Spearfish has been added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Register is the federal government’s list of properties it deems worthy of recognition and preservation.
The four-block district includes about 50 properties, many with distinctive architecture. The oldest building was constructed in 1882.
