Hispanic Heritage Hidden History Special


According to the U.S. Census Bureau, nearly 4 percent of South Dakota’s population is Hispanic.

Beadle County has the largest percentage of Hispanic people at nearly 9 percent.

From 1990 to 2000, South Dakota saw a drastic increase in the Hispanic population, from just 5,600 in 1990 to nearly 11,000 by 2000.
