One person is recovering from a cut on the leg after a helicopter made a hard landing in the Black Hills Thursday morning.

Mike Jacobs, the owner of Black Hills Aerial Adventures, said the helicopter lost lift as it flew above Highway 385, just north of Crazy Horse.

When it hit the ground, one of the skids collapsed, causing the two rotors to hit each other. The pilot at the time was being trained to fly the helicopter.
