A KELOLAND dentist is making his first court appearance Monday after the Minnehaha County sheriff’s office started investigating reports that he inappropriately touched several jail inmates.
Andrew Heinisch turned himself in Thursday and posted a $10,000 bond. He is sub-contracted to provide dental services at the Minnehaha County jail.
Deputies say on June 9, an inmate told authorities Heinisch inappropriately touched her. Further investigation found five other victims.
Heinisch now faces several charges of sexual contact, sexual acts and attempted sexual contact.
He is listed as a dentist at Apple White Dental partners in Worthington, Minnesota. KELOLAND News tried to contact the business, but the person we talked with wouldn’t comment on the case.
