Whooping Cough Cases Up 517 Percent In South Dakota


The temperatures may be going up in KELOLAND but unfortunately so are the numbers of some illnesses.

The state’s health department released their report for February, and the amount of whooping cough cases in South Dakota went up by 517 percent.

There have been 37 cases reported so far this year.

The average for this time of year is six.
