DOC reporting spike in positive coronavirus cases

The Department of Corrections is reporting a spike in positive COVID-19 cases.

On Tuesday, the DOC reported that 16 facility members tested positive and 25 offenders tested positive.

On Wednesday, the DOC reported 18 facility members tested positive and 112 DOC offenders tested positive. 105 of the offenders that tested positive are located at the Pierre Community Work Center.

97 facility members tested negative on Wednesday. 301 offenders tested negative. on Wednesday.
