New campaign finance reports are in.  Together the two Republican candidates to be South Dakota’s next governor have spent nearly $3.3 million on the race.

Here’s a look at the totals:

Kristi Noem has spent more than $1.7 million on her bid for governor.  A majority of that is on advertising and consulting.

Marty Jackley has spent a little less, just over $1.5 million on his campaign.

The race isn’t over yet.  The candidates still have more than $1 million to spend before the election.

Noem has about a million dollars left in her coffers.  Jackley has a half million left.

You’re going to have a chance to hear from the two candidates on Thursday during a live one hour debate. Watch at 7 p.m. (CT) on KELO-TV.
