FBI Joins Search For Missing Iowa Woman

The search continues for missing University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts.

This case hasn’t only baffled the small town of Brooklyn, Iowa where Mollie is from, but it’s caught the attention of many across the country, including celebrities.

The FBI is now joining Iowa officials in the search for 20-year-old Tibbetts, who’s been missing for nearly a week.

Tibbets was at her boyfriend’s home to watch his dogs while he worked a construction job about 100 miles northeast in Dubuque.

A neighbor reported seeing Tibbetts going for a jog last Wednesday evening.

Her boyfriend, Dalton Jack, reported she was missing Thursday morning after she didn’t show up for work.

“And I looked at my phone and I noticed I had texted her ‘Goodmorning’, that morning and she hadn’t opened it, so I got ahold of all of her friends and family,” Jack said.

The FBI is now using an array of computer forensics — such as studying online history and cellphone app usage — in an effort to pinpoint where Mollie might be.
