Sydney Loofe’s body has been recovered, according to the family in a Facebook post.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we share this most recent update with you all. Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family. May God grant eternal rest unto thee. We love you Sydney,” the post said.
The message was posted on the “Finding Sydney Loofe” Facebook page, which is run by her family.
Loofe disappeared on Nov. 16.
It’s unclear where authorities found the body.
Police have been talking to two persons of interest in the case. Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell were being held on unrelated warrants at a Missouri jail.
As KELOLAND News has reported, Trail is a convicted felon who served five years in the South Dakota Penitentiary for grand theft in Pennington County.
In 2006, he was arrested for writing a bad check in Yankton.
Two months later, Trail was arrested for the same thing in Minnehaha County.
In 2008… Lincoln County charged Trail for Insufficient Funds to a Check, and for being a habitual offender.
Loofe has family in Sioux Falls.
Police and FBI have not yet released any information. The FBI has announced they’re holding a news conference Tuesday in Lincoln.
This is a developing story.
