SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Tuesday is a big day for one of KELOLAND’s most recognizable landmarks.
Tuesday, the Cathedral of St. Joseph will celebrate the 100-year-anniversary of its dedication. The Reverend James Morgan is a priest here at the cathedral.
“I think when they enter it, I think they, their souls and their hearts are elevated, they’re inspired by it, they’ll come in and sit quietly and pray, or they’ll just take in the beauty and the majesty of it, but i think for anyone, anyone who comes into this cathedral, or even sees it from the outside, knows that God dwells here,” Morgan said.
Morgan calls it: “The identifying marker of spirituality of God’s presence here on earth for this particular region and for this area.”
