SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — International students have faced challenges because of COVID-19.
An Augustana University freshman from India says he was supposed to start college in the fall, but the pandemic delayed him from getting his visa and traveling to the United States. But now he’s on campus and excited about the opportunities.
“It’s been a plan; it’s been a dream for almost five years and I’m super glad that I’m here right now,” student Sriram Yogeeswari said.
We’ll share more of his experience and look at how the pandemic has affected international students in tonight’s Eye on KELOLAND at 10 p.m.
