Thursday marks 12 days since Kristi Noem took the oath of office and became South Dakota’s governor.
This week we sat down with her at the South Dakota state capitol to see what she has to say about her administration.
“It is my belief that our state is the best state in the nation. And that we’re going to talk about that,” Noem said. “We’re going to do some big things here recruiting new industries. We’re going to develop new workforce opportunities for people here, that maybe they had to leave to get that cybersecurity job before. Maybe they had to leave South Dakota to get an engineering position or a biotec position. I want to recruit those companies here.”
In Thursday’s Eye on KELOLAND, the newly-inaugurated governor talks her new role, including what’s surprised her about the governorship.
