PUKWANA, S.D. (KELO) – A business in Pukwana grows hundreds of thousands of pounds of food each year.
But you won’t find any dirt on the farm. It’s a hydroponic operation.
Happy Hyrdos has grown a lot since the Scholl family first launched it about 11 years ago.
“Going from, ‘Would you like to buy my tomato?’ to almost selling everything we can produce,” owner Mark Scholl said.
But getting to this point wasn’t easy.
