PREVIEW: Flood impact on pheasant hunting

Eye on KELOLAND

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Pheasant hunting in South Dakota could get a little interesting this year.

With so much flooding and road closures, hunters may have a hard time getting to their favorite hot spots.

“It can definitely make things more difficult as a pheasant hunter,” Hunter Roger Pollreisz said.

The state was already reporting a 17-percent drop in pheasant numbers, but now with more flooding, did those numbers drop even more?

Hear what wildlife officials have to say about that on Thursday’s Eye on KELOLAND at 10.
