When some people fall on hard times, they turn to the St. Francis House in Sioux Falls.
That’s what 26 year old Kenneth Birkey did. He was once homeless and living in his car.
“I really thought I was going to freeze to death because my fingers were blue and I barely had any gas in my tank; I was like ‘I hope I have enough to get to the St. Francis House, because I’m not going to make it if I don’t,” resident Frankie Webb said.
But his story is not all that uncommon. Friday on Eye on KELOLAND, see how the St. Francis House saved Birkey’s life and how he’s now giving back.
