Stores are hoping for a successful start to the holiday season. How they’re approaching that is different though.
Some retailers are opening earlier than ever on Thanksgiving; others will be closed for the first time in years on the holiday.
The malls in Sioux Falls and Rapid City are taking different approaches.

For the first time in years, The Rushmore Mall will actually be closed today. Instead, it will open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
