Ellsworth Airman Sentenced To 30 Years In Military Prison

An Airman at Ellsworth Air Force Base has been sentenced for the death of his infant son.

Thursday, a judge sentenced 24-year-old David MacDonald to 30 years in a military prison.

He was also demoted and given an dishonorable discharge from the Air Force and will have to forfeit all military pay and allowances.

Thursday, MacDonald pled guilty to hitting his three-month old son in November 2016, resulting in the baby’s death.  MacDonald says he became frustrated while trying to calm his son.
