Rapid City schools switching to remote learning

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) — Starting Wednesday, students in Rapid City’s Area School District will switch to remote learning.

In a letter to parents, the district says several factors played a role in this decision, including more than 10 percent of the staff either having COVID-19 or in quarantine.

Student case numbers and quarantines are also climbing. The district plans to provide take-home meals for students as well.
