A new science education center is taking shape at a university in northern KELOLAND.

This building under construction at Northern State University was recently named after Harvey Jewett who was a longtime regent.

It’s slated to open in time for the fall semester next year.

“It was designed by people that know science and know what the science field needs in terms of facilities and infrastructure and this building will have that,” Science & Math Department Chair Alyssa Kiesow said.

Coming up Wednesday on KELOLAND News, find out why this upgrade is needed and how it could attract more students to the Hub City.
