One of South Dakota’s largest employers will be opening a new main office and corporate headquarters.
For the first time KELOLAND News is learning new information about First PREMIER Bank’s new location in downtown Sioux Falls.
It wasn’t the groundbreaking First PREMIER Bank was anticipating for its new main office, but during this wintry weather the company’s CEO is talking about sunnier days.
“It will be overlooking all of Sioux Falls. We think we have the perfect corner, and we’re really looking forward to it,” First PREMIER Bank CEO Dana Dykhouse said.
Here’s a look at First PREMIER’S new building. The five story, 77,000 square foot facility will be located in the north-east corner of Minnesota Avenue and 14th Street. It will bring together services that are now spread out throughout Sioux Falls.
“Our customers won’t have to run all over town. Now they’ll be able to go to one spot for their trust business, for their mortgage, for their checking account. We can service them all in one location,” Dykhouse said.
T. Denny Sanford started the company when he bought a bank in 1986. It now employs more than 2,400 people and has 17 locations in eastern South Dakota.
“It’s time to move on and prepare for the future-a big future that lies ahead for First PREMIER Bank,” Sanford said.
A future that will give the gateway to downtown Sioux Falls a new look.
Weather permitting, First PREMIER plans to break ground next week and have the building done around the end of 2020.
