The construction company connected to the deadly Sioux Falls building collapse could face criminal charges.

The US Justice Department is investigating the 2016 collapse of the Copper Lounge building at 10th Street and Phillips Avenue. Hultgren Construction was converting the location into a new Lewis Drug when it collapsed, killing construction worker Ethan McMahon and trapping Emily Fodness.

U.S. Attorney Randy Seiler could bring criminal charges depending on the results of the investigation.
