Could You Pass The US Citizenship Test?


After expressing concern that South Dakota students don’t understand “how blessed they are to live in a land of opportunity,” Governor Kristi Noem announced her plan to bring legislation to require all high school students pass the U.S. Citizenship test before graduating.

It’s was one of many ideas she shared in her first State of the State Address before the State Legislature on Tuesday in Pierre.

There are 100 potential civics questions on the U.S. naturalization test; applicants are asked up to 10 questions.  Answering at least six of the ten questions correctly is the first step in passing the citizenship test.
