Burns found guilty in Global Aquaponics trial

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —  Brookings developer Tim Burns has been found guilty in a federal trial.

Burns was accused of scamming investors in the Global Aquaponics project out of tens of thousands of dollars.  The jury found him guilty of all charges.

The Global Aquaponics fish and vegetable farm was proposed for south of Brookings and Burns’ construction company was supposed to build it.

It took the jury less than four hours to reach its verdict.

A federal jury has returned a verdict against a Brookings developer.

Tim Burns is accused of scamming investors in the Global Aquaponics project out of tens of thousands of dollars.
