A bald eagle that was unable to stand has made a full recovery thanks to a wildlife center in Wisconsin.
Back in August — it was found by a community member. The eagle was unable to use its legs and and suffered from extreme weakness, dehydration and lack of muscle mass.
But the animal is healthy now and was able to get back out into the wild.
And one of the centers wildlife rehabilitators says they weren’t the only ones making the eagle’s recovery possible.
“It’s an amazing feeling getting to do what we do that getting her where she could be on her own again. She probably would not have made it without some help. It is amazing feeling its not just us that do it it’s the community as well,” wildlife rehabiliator Amanda Schirmer said.
Tuesday marks exactly one week since the eagle was released back into the wild.
