Badlands Motor Speedway has cleared another hurdle to bring racing back to the Brandon track.
The future of the property has been in jeopardy because of county zoning rules.
But the Badlands Speedway website posted on Friday that the Minnehaha County Planning and Zoning Director has rescinded a previous notice about the track not being in compliance.
Badlands Speedway says that means there is no longer any need to attend a planning and zoning meeting later this month to appeal that earlier ruling.
As KELOLAND News reported last week, an auction of the property is back on, scheduled for September 15.
