Are you prepared for the upcoming forecast? As KELOLAND gets hit with three rounds of snow in one week, we went out to see if there’s any supplies left on the shelves.
Whether you broke your ice scraper in the last winter blast or a shovel just isn’t cutting it, heading to the store may be an important errand to run as more snow hits KELOLAND. We went to Lewis Drug to see if there’s enough winter gear in stock.
“Ya know, we’re well stocked on snow shovels. We have ice melt in store. Something else it’s a bright point to all the snow that’s coming, kids like to get out and go snow sledding. We have more sleds on the way from a warehouse here in Sioux Falls, so we will even be ready for that still,” Randy Seney said.
One item in particular seems to be flying off the shelves at Lewis.
“Ice melt. I’ve gone through more ice melt this winter than any other winter,” Susan Waagmeester said
Living in South Dakota, you could need snow supplies into early spring.
“Weather is unpredictable here in our part of the country and we’ll probably leave shovels and ice melt and all the things that you need for that type of weather probably at least through the middle of March,” Seney said.
Being in the Rushmore state people seem to have their eye constantly on the forecast.
“I’m a teacher so I know there’s snow coming twice this week,” Waagmeester said.
Be sure to get supplies before it’s too late.
“If you need a snow blower, now would be the time to get it,” Seney said.
If you do plan to use a snow blower here’s some helpful tips.
