58 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized In Windom

Six people are facing charges in southwest Minnesota following a drug bust.

The Windom Police Department posted a picture on Facebook showing the 58-pounds of marijuana and nearly $14,000 in cash authorities recovered.

Windom Police, Cottonwood County Deputies and Minnesota State Patrol Troopers were all involved in the case.

On Aug. 1, a Windom Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 60 for a vehicle following another car too closely. The officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and was able to confirm the two cars were traveling together. 

The Mountain Lake Police Department was alerted and they stopped the other car in Mountain Lake and a K-9 Unit from the Minnesota State Patrol was used in the investigation. 

Five Minnesotans and one Californian were arrested and charged with drug sales: Ambria Gardner Henry (Menagha, Minn.), Tonee Love Jr. (Minneapolis, Minn.), Shawn Wilcoxson Jr.(Minneapolis, Minn.), ​​​​​​Malasia Pearson (Moreno Valley, Calif.), Carnail Stokes (Minneapolis, Minn.) and ​​​​​​​Thermerrious Stokes (Brooklyn Park, Minn.).
