45,000 Square-Foot Feeding SD Facility Opens In Sioux Falls

It’s an effort to help more South Dakotans who struggle to put food on the table.

Thursday, Feeding South Dakota opened its new facility in Sioux Falls.

The 45,000 square-foot facility is in the northwest part of the city on Westport Avenue.
It’s more than twice the size of its other facility and has much more space to refrigerate food.

“Really our mission is more than taking care of the hunger needs in Sioux Falls, Pierre or Rapid City. It’s really our moral obligation to take care of the hunger in all parts of South Dakota,” Matt Gassen with Feeding South Dakota said.

Feeding South Dakota helps around 190,000 people every year.
