Family outings to the zoo not only spark curiosity in our kids, but they can also teach them about wildlife conservation, as well as give them a deeper understanding of animal behaviors.

Allison Gould is the education specialist at The Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls, and today she brought along a very special guest – Sadie the hawk.

They were here to explain what it takes to train and work with these incredible birds of prey, and to explain to us why Hawks, like Sadie, are such skilled hunters.
