Have you noticed QR Codes, those small squares or circles, have become even more popular lately?

They’re great ways for businesses to give their potential customers easy access to their website. Only those small QR Codes have also become the prey of scammers who use them to carry out various schemes.

Jessie Schmidt is the vice-president of the South Dakota Region of the Better Business Bureau Midwest Plains.

She joined KELOLAND Living’s Mitchell Olson to share some tips on how we can protect ourselves from falling victim to QR code scams.

The Better Business Bureau helps consumers find businesses and charities that they can trust. You’ll find their office in Sioux Falls at 300 North Phillips Avenue, Suite 100. You can look-up and report scams on their website BBB.Org. Or give Jessie a call at 605-271-2066.
