The definition of “code-switch” is to alternate between two or more languages or varieties of language in conversation, but the subtext behind the words can mean so much more. Especially to people of color, and those who speak English as a second language.

We’re being joined by, Marcella Prokop, Director of Access and Workforce Opportunity at SouthEast Technical College.

She’s here to give us a bit of insight into just how code-switching has impacted her life and why appreciating diversity in language is important.
