South Dakota State University’s 20th president didn’t actually start out with the intention of leading his alma mater. Yet, once you hear his story, it’s easy to see why he has been such a great fit for the world of academia.
Not only is Barry Dunn the school’s fourth alumnus chosen to lead the institution, he also brings a unique heritage to the role that’s as much of part of South Dakota’s history as it is his own.
