Achut Deng was born in South Sudan and came to America as a refugee when she was sixteen years old. She recounts the story of her survival and journey to America in her memoir, Don’t Look Back. She is also one of this year’s storytellers at REACH Literacy’s upcoming event, Brewhaha.

Achut is joined us today, along with REACH Literacy’s Executive Director, Paige Carda.

They joined us to tell us more about this year’s Brewhaha event and how they’re weaving the theme of growth throughout the evening.
