After working in newspapers for most of my career, I joined KELOLAND News as a digital data reporter on the web team in November of 2019.
My news stories have included coverage of murder trials, state government budgets, 4-H kids and unusual vegetables. Pretty much the gamut.
I’ve been fortunate in my career to work with some outstanding, dedicated reporters and leaders. Over the years, I’ve won numerous state and national awards and citations as an individual or as part of a team. I’m especially proud of the two Minnesota Associated Press Freedom of Information awards in a category that included all newspapers, radio and TV entities in the state.
I’m happy to continue my career with another batch of outstanding, dedicated reporters and leaders here at KELOLAND.
I grew up on a farm in Iowa so I learned to pay attention to how the corn and soybeans are doing. When I’m not at work, my husband and I like to visit parks, museums and lots of other interesting stuff. I also like good TV, reading and college sports but I’m not a devoted fan of any particular team.
