Being born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota I am proud to call KELOLAND my home.
For as long as I have been able to read and write, I have loved telling stories. As a child I often spent my free time at the Caille Library in Sioux Falls checking out books, writing my own short stories and making short films with my friends. In high school I was blessed with wonderful teachers at Roosevelt High School who encouraged my passion for storytelling and showed me how I could do it for a living.
I attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing and journalism. After college I decided to pursue a Masters of Science at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois to further my love of storytelling in filmmaking. Following the completion of my degree I thought long and hard about where I wanted to go next and I kept finding myself drawn back home to Sioux Falls.
I first began at KELOLAND as a production assistant before moving into my role as a digital producer and now I am honored to be a digital reporter. I love my community and feel privileged that I get to spend my days meeting new people and helping you tell your stories. I’m excited to hear your experiences and answer the questions you have about what is going on in South Dakota. If you have a story for me, please reach out to me through my Twitter or email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Outside of work I enjoy traveling, photography, reading and watching as many movies as humanly possible.
