I joined KELOLAND Media Group in May 2018 after working nearly four years as a sports reporter for the Mitchell Daily Republic. In 2016, I won an award for best sports reporting (for daily newspapers under 12,000 circulations) from the South Dakota Newspapers Association.
While at KELOLAND, I started as a morning Web Producer and transitioned over to a Digital Reporter in January 2021. I have been a part of back-to-back regional Edward R. Murrow award-winning teams for KELOLAND.com in 2020 and 2021.
In my short time with KELOLAND, I’ve been a part of some big stories from tornadoes, floods, droughts, Presidential visits, elections and the COVID-19 pandemic. I strive to keep KELOLAND.com one of the best places to get local news.
I was born Aberdeen, but grew up in Sioux Falls. I’m a Washington High School (Go Warriors!) and University of South Dakota (Go Yotes!) graduate.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sara, and dog, Buxton. I am a big sports fan, especially soccer and baseball. Growing up in South Dakota, I also love the outdoors — especially fishing, pheasant hunting and grilling.
