Anya Joseph came to KELO in January 2023 as a sports reporter. She enjoys covering the local high school and college teams and other sports affiliates in South Dakota.
She moved from Palm Beach, Florida. She is a recent graduate of Florida International University with a degree in Journalism in December 2022. While there, she served as a sports reporter and anchor for the South Florida Media Network. Some of the stories she covered included the Miami Heat, Miami Marlins, Miami Dolphins and the FIU Panthers.
Anya was born and raised in Boston, M.A., then moved to Palm Beach when she was twelve. In the middle of her college career, she joined the security forces of U.S. Air Force. She is now a veteran, after being honorably discharged.
Her first job in the sports industry was an associate sports producer for WSVN in Miami, F.L. She was a writer and editor for the sports department working alongside sports broadcasters and producers.
Anya is passionate about athletics and capturing important moments for both players and coaches. She’s a passionate basketball fan. Her favorite NBA team is the Chicago Bulls and she loves the Miami Dolphins.
Outside of sports, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
