Storm Center Update - Saturday PM
Plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures again out there today across KELOLAND. If you spent any time outdoors congratulations! Temperatures were just a few degrees cooler than yesterday and tomorrow will again be a few degrees cooler than today.

Storm Center Update - Saturday AM
Our nice November start to November will continue into the weekend. Temperatures today will be a little cooler than yesterday but it will still be nice and we should have a fair amount of sunshine. Tomorrow brings a few clouds from the west and again slightly cooler temperatures.

Storm Center Update - Friday PM
We had sunny and mild conditions this afternoon in central and western KELOLAND with some records being tied or broken. 80s have been hit in south central and west central South Dakota this afternoon while widespread 60s have made it to eastern KELOLAND. Tonight will remain warm with lows falling to the upper 30s and lower 40s in many locations as skies will be mostly clear.

Storm Center Update-Friday AM
Today will be very, very warm across KELOLAND. In fact, it may be the warmest day for the rest of the year…so enjoy the 70 degree weather! Highs will be warmest in south-central SD…close to 80 in a few spots. Lows tonight will also be fairly mild in the mid 30s to lower 40s. More 60s are forecast tomorrow….but winds will be fairly light at 5-15mph from the NW.

2009-2010 Snow Prediction
As with any year, plenty of factors have gone into this year's snowfall prediction, and just how all these factors go into a seasonal forecast is the key. I think our main factor this winter will be the weather trend that started not in October, but in September.

Another beautiful day across the state today, and tonight is looking pleasant as well. For tomorrow look for mainly sunny skies again, temperatures will be even warmer with highs in the 70s out west and the 60s in the east. It will be a breezy day with south winds gusting 10 to 20 mph.

Storm Center Update-Thursday AM
Look for a nice day today with sunshine and temperatures in the 50s across the east with 60s in central and western SD. Tonight will be mild as clouds increase across our eastern counties…with clear skies for Pierre and Rapid City. Lows overnight will be pretty mild for this time of the year in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Storm Center Update - Wednesday PM
The sun will dominate the sky again for the next several days and allow for temperatures to warm to the 60s with isolated 70s possible in the central and west. The warmth and dry conditions will last through the weekend but scattered rain showers and cooler temperatures wait on Monday.

Storm Center Update-Wednesday AM
Look for more sunshine in KELOLAND and pleasant temperatures for this time of year in the 50s in most spots…upper 40s in northeast KELOLAND. Winds will be from the west to start…switching to the south in Rapid City during the afternoon. Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

October was a soggy month that slowed the harvest, and the cold temperatures had many thinking of an early winter.

Storm Center Update - Tuesday PM
A ridge in the jet stream will allow for sunshine and warm temperatures over the next several days. We’ll have temperatures well above average with the possibility of seeing 70 degree readings in western South Dakota on Friday. Eastern KELOLAND will not get THAT warm, but highs in the 60s will be welcome starting on Friday and last through Sunday.

Storm Center Update - Sunday PM
What a day out there today! We had pleasant temperatures and ample sunshine. Heading into the week temperatures will dip a little bit on Monday and should stay right around the low to mid 50s for the rest of the week. Our extended forecast is also looking dry with one minor exception- we will see a slight chance of showers in eastern KELOLAND on Tuesday.

After a nice day yesterday we will look for nice conditions again today. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer today and we should again see plenty of sunshine. We will see a few clouds passing through giving us partly cloudy skies at times. For the week our dry weather will continue.

Finally, our weather has taken a turn for the better! Sunshine greeted us as we start out new trend in weather today. Sunny skies are going to be the trend over the next week or so as a dry and warmer pattern builds into KELOLAND. Looking out in the 7 day forecast there are only very minor chances of showers this week.

After a wet couple of days to end the week, it finally appears that we are going to dry out as we go through the next several days. Today will be a cool day across the state but we should see some sunshine, especially in eastern South Dakota. For tomorrow temperatures will warm a few degrees.
