AND MUCH COLDER TEMPERATURES TO NORTHEAST WYOMING AND WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA. SNOW WILL SPREAD OVER SOUTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA LATE THIS AFTERNOON, NORTHEAST WYOMING AND WEST CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA EARLY THIS EVENING, AND THEN SOUTH CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA OVERNIGHT. GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP AS ARCTIC AIR POURS INTO THE AREA TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS WILL CAUSE VERY HAZARDOUS TRAVEL. , WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM MST /MIDNIGHT CST/ THIS EVENING TO NOON MST /1 PM CST/ TUESDAY, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RAPID CITY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM MST /MIDNIGHT CST/ THIS EVENING TO NOON MST /1 PM CST/ TUESDAY.

* TIMING, LATE THIS EVENING INTO TUESDAY MORNING.

* MAIN HAZARD, SNOWFALL OF 2 TO 5 INCHES ALONG WITH NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH WILL PRODUCE VISIBILITIES LESS THAN ONE HALF MILES AT TIMES DUE TO BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS, TRAVEL WILL BECOME VERY DIFFICULT LATE TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY.
